Part of a rare collection of very hard to find Fostoria Milk Glass with hand painted Indians. The Indian is painted with his headdress on against a brown background. Some minor paint wear at the upper rim and some roughness in the bottom rim probably due to grinding during it's making. The piece measures 7 1/4" by 4 1/4".

Vellum glaze vase with stylized rose hip, leaf and vine decoration encircling the upper half of the vase. Colors range from light blue under the decoration to pale yellow-beige below with the inside a steel blue. Great contrast and style as is known in the work of Fred Rothenbusch. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape number 356, and Fred Rothenbusch's Cipher. Height 6 5/8 inches. Very clean example and completely uncrazed.
