Very early Rookwood signed Matt Daly 9.5" tall Limoges style vase. The piece is a wonderful early example of Daly's work while at Rookwood where he started in 1882 and continued until 1902. This artist led the way for many other Rookwood decorators and was known as an innovator in pottery forms, shapes, sizes and in the quality of his decorating. Old Mission Koppercraft bookends made in San Francisco, California in the shop started by famed Arts & Crafts era metalsmith Fred Brosi. They are both fully marked with the OMK stamp as shown. The patina on this pair is beautiful - very dark and absolutely original and considered very fine with no scratches, blemishes, verdigris, or dents. The bookends measure 5" tall, 5" wide at base, and 3.5" deep and are made of heavy gauge copper.
