Very early Rookwood signed Matt Daly 9.5" tall Limoges style vase. The piece is a wonderful early example of Daly's work while at Rookwood where he started in 1882 and continued until 1902. Great late 20's Mosaic Tile Company Arts & Crafts style wide border tile. High relief vine design with leaves and berries. Fantastic curdled alligator glazes of cream and dark blue matte over a speckled red clay body that is no less in quality or texture than Grueby tiles. The tile measures 4" x 6" x 3/4" and is in excellent condition. The tile was de-installed and thus has a slight residue of plaster on reverse.
