Wonderful colored by Lippert c.1930 measuring 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" with an image size of 12" x 9 1/2" of a beautiful Indian maiden holding a bird under a full moon. the piece overall has a beautiful pallet of color and detail which we have tried to show in an inset to the accompanying photo. The litho comes complete with it's polychrome decorated matching wood frame and old glass.

Lyman Byxbe is one of many great artists who have turned to the majestic Rocky Mountains for inspiration and the subject matter of their compositions. He became a successful commercial artist in Omaha, Nebraska, where he studied the art of etching under Mark Levings, an architect. In 1938 Mr. Byxbe moved to Estes Park, Colorado, where he has had a summer studio for many years. Most of the artist's time and talent was devoted to copper plate etching in his mountain studio.
