| Fine Teco quad wing large vase measuring 9" wide and 5 1/2" tall. The vase is shown in Darling's guide "Teco Art Pottery of the Prairie School", pg.. 149, shape 297 A designed by N. Forester. Vase has the qualities that bring Teco to high value including the best of Teco's glaze, excellent charcoaling, and top architectural form. The vase has no chips or cracks and is a very rare form to come to market. Double signed on the base with the impressed Teco shop mark. This is an early form with only a few known to be produced given the technical difficulty of the quad form leading to continuance of the more familiar 2 wing vase. | |
